Driving Business Improvement in Practice

The application of agile lean sigma in a working environment

Overview

In today’s world of constant change, many companies commit themselves to business improvement programmes based on latest techniques yet fail to achieve the potential benefits and gains available to them.

What is the workshop about?
This practical course runs in workshop style. It explains the unique Oliver Wight approach in application of the techniques available around Lean and Six Sigma to achieve a cost differential as well as maintain the agility necessary to win. It is aimed at those people in project leadership and line management roles charged with implementing improvement programmes. It enables them to see when these techniques should be deployed and how they are used for dramatic and sustainable business gain.

This interactive course covers these improvement techniques in some detail; describes the practical tools of problem solving available to companies and how they should be used; provides a hands-on simulation focused on Value Stream Mapping; gives an understanding of the business benefits from projects; and clearly identifies the role of senior manager, line and project leaders and all of their people in securing the business gains.
